Playlist: A Better Hand’s Fall Jams

A Better Hand took some time to put together a playlist of their favorite fall jams. Take a look at their thoughts on the songs and listen to the playlist below.

The Wonder Years – I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral

Zack – “I love how they tie in all the songs off of the album into one song. They bring in key moments from each song and it’s the first time I’ve heard anything like that.”

Taylor- “This is my favorite TWY album and I think this is one of the best songs ever written. I also love getting drunk and screaming this entire 7 minute song with Zack and our buddy Andrew”

Brandon – “The Wonder Years. Hot damn, Soupy writes the most amazing lyrics. I can’t even describe it. They hit you in the heart every time. Everyone’s cried to TWY.”

Good Charlotte – The Young & The Hopeless

R&R Kyle – “This is the first pop punk album I got into and I feel like this song is the serious turning point in the album”

Zack – “Everyone goes through struggles and I think this song is very relatable”

Taylor – “Good Charlotte is the reason I started listening to pop punk, I think I’ve listened to this album more times than any other pop punk album”

Brandon – “We’ve all felt lost and down at times, and this song kind of reminds you that it’s okay to feel that way from time to time. Good Charlotte is definitely one of the bands that got me into pop punk.”

A Day To Remember – Right Back At It Again

Zack – “Watch the music video because Kevin Skaff is my hero for surfing on Ramen Noodles, and he’s from Minnesota!”

Taylor – “ I started listening to this album right when I decided that being in a band was going to be my future and it really gave me the motivation I needed from one of my all time favorite bands”

R&R Kyle – “I like how they talk about where they came from and how they reminisce about starting their band. It’s cool to hear that they really love playing music together no matter what the circumstances.”

Brandon – “This song is sick. This whole album is sick. The whole band is sick.”

Sum 41 – Confusion and Frustration in Modern Times

Sven – “I picked this song for the lyrics, One specific lyric “divided we stand together we fall” really resonated with me and I think it still relevant today. I think Sum 41 is a very important band in our scene. They have had a big influence on our band and they’ve been one of my favorites since day one.”

Brandon – “Sum 41 have always been inspiring to me because they bridge the gap between pop punk and metal, which are my two favorite genres.”

All Time Low – The Girl’s A Straight-Up Hustler

Sven – “This is the song that really made me want to be in a band.”

Zack – “All time low is my favorite band of all time, I’ve got a tattoo of their logo and their stage banter is hilarious. Their shows are lit.”

Taylor – “These guys have been a huge influence on our band from day one so they absolutely had to make the list.”

Brandon – “All Time Low are one of my favorite bands, you can never go wrong with them. This song is relatable because we’ve all known someone caught up in the trends, and been with someone we really can’t stand and inevitably ended up walking away from them.

The Story So Far – Quicksand

R&R Kyle – “It’s cool how this song holds true to old school punk roots, but still has a catchy melody that makes it modern pop punk”

Taylor – “TSSF has quickly become one of my all time favorite pop punk bands”

Brandon – “They write some pretty cool instrumentals and relatable lyrics.”

A Better Hand – So Long Goodbye

We picked this song because it really means a lot to all of us. So Long Goodbye recognizes the hardships of having to leave people and things behind in order to chase your dreams. Breaking away from normal routine and following our own path is the only way we can truly be happy.

Box Car Racer – There Is

Zack – “This song is such a good jam, and I don’t think enough people know about Box Car Racer.”

Brandon – “Self doubt sucks, and this song is all about that. Still a good song though.”

State Champs – Nothing’s Wrong

Taylor – “I think this song and the entire album are written so well. The bridge in this song hits so hard it’s hard not to jam to.”

Brandon – “State Champs = Fav pop punk band. I love the instrumental to this song so much”

Neck Deep – 19 Seventy Sumthin’

Sven – “This song is definitely an emotional rollercoaster.”

Zack – “I love seeing this different side to ND and I hope that ABH can do something similar.”

R&R Kyle – “This song really makes you appreciate the people who support you, and makes you realize, they play a bigger role than you may think.”

Taylor – “There aren’t many songs that can bring a tear to my eye, but this one has done it many times. My dad has always been so supportive of me and I can’t imagine the loss those guys felt.”

Brandon – “I showed this song to my mom and she almost cried. This song makes me have an optimistic outlook on relationships and life, despite the heartache that comes with it. A lot of people are afraid to fall in love for this reason, but I think it’s worth it. Leave a good impression on your family, and they will make it through.”

Simple Plan – I’m Just A Kid

Zack – “This song reminds me of the good old days running around as a kid in the summer.”

Taylor – “I remember jamming this on my iPod when I was younger every time I got mad or upset.”

Brandon – “Everyone related to this at one point in time, you can’t deny it.”

Pierce The Veil – Circles

We all had a really hard time deciding which PTV song to put on here, we would have put them all if we could have. Misadventures is definitely our favorite album of 2016.

R&R Kyle – “This is hands down one of my go to albums when I don’t know what to listen to.”

Zack – “It’s incredibly relatable to what is going on in the world.”

Brandon – “PTV have grown to be one of my favorite bands lately, especially with the release of Misadventures.”
