If you’re reading this, it means you pay at least some attention to my site or you’re a publicist who already had the info sent out to them. Either way, thank you for taking the time to look this over.
After starting HiFi Noise in 2014, I largely did this site for myself so I’d have a place to put my thoughts on music and eventually film, comics, TV, and more. I never thought I’d be receiving as many press releases as a I do every day, which admittedly is probably not quite as many as sites much larger than mine. However, I still appreciate every person who’s come to this site to read something I wrote and every publicist who gives me the chance to do so. With that said, today, I’m implementing some changes to the site.
I’ll no longer be posting news on the site. All song streams and video will be posted directly to social media. With the way Facebook and Twitter embed streams and videos now, it seems silly to have someone to make an extra click just to get that content. News posts were never huge for the site, anyway. In fact, the site itself has never raked in the big numbers, but I still enjoy it.
So if I’m not posting news, what will I be doing, you might ask? Good question! I’ll continue posting things like reviews, interviews, and editorial pieces. Obviously, these will not be coming multiple times a day, but I’ll aim to have something go up once a day if I can. I’ll also continue posting things like recommendations and music you should check out. This will absolutely be a work in progress, but I just wanted to let you all know it’s coming.
If you’ve made it this far: I just want to say thank you, again. This is a fun experience, even if it’s frustrating at times. I hope you all understand why I’m doing this and are looking forward to the change just as much as I am.
