Hungover is currently working on getting some new music out for everyone to enjoy. The four-piece took some time to answer questions about the new music, working with Alan Reitman, and more. Check out the interview below!
Being from Central Florida, did you draw inspiration from that music scene when you first became a band?
Absolutely! When the band first started, the Orlando Pop-Punk Scene was alive and well! When there’s a show every weekend it’s hard not to get inspired to make music of your own.
What are some of your favorite bands from the area that you think everyone should know about?
Old Again, Capstan, Bad Year, False Narrative. The list goes on and on. The Central Florida scene is saturated with talent!
Now that you’re in the studio, what has your recording process been like? What’s it like working with Alan Reitman?
It’s been different than any other recording experience we’ve ever had. Alan is a dream to work with! He’s always willing to try new ideas and he really pushes us to be the best band we can be. We’re very fortunate to be working with someone who cares about music as much as he does.
Are you shooting for a summer release?
We’re playing it by ear right now. There’s still a few more odds and ends we have to tie up in the studio before we can get a solid time frame.
Once the new release is out, will you be touring locally or shooting for a larger tour?
Once we put this out, we want to go anywhere and everywhere. We’re very excited about these songs and we want to get them out to as many people as possible!
What’s been the best part about being a band for the past few years?
The best part would probably be that we’ve really gotten the chance to see each other grow as musicians and as people. Playing music together for this long has really helped us become closer as friends and tighter as a unit. We’re like a family.
