We had the chance to ask Lucky Scars a few questions about working with Spartan Records and what they’ll be up to in 2016. Check out the answers from Johnny Scars below.
How did the band meet and where are you all from?
Johnny Scars: Guitarist Nik Kill was arrested for, I believe, attempting to steal a policeman’s horse and disturbing the peace. I, too, was incarcerated for shoplifting at the local 99 cent store. So while in the holding cell, we pulled our ideas together after realizing that crime does not pay. We noticed how wealthy famous rock stars are and decided to go that route.
What was it like getting to work with Spartan for your debut EP?
Johnny Scars: Spartan Records promised us a year’s supply of beer when we signed with them. So to answer your question, wonderful!
Where can we expect to see the band playing some live shows in 2016?Johnny Scars: There are approximately 196 countries in the world with maybe about 2 million cities. Expect to see us in all of them.
Do you have any good stories from recording the EP?
Johnny Scars: We drank, we cried, we drank some more, we went home and made love to our women. Then we went back and did it all over again. Time is money, and we don’t fuck around other than partying hard.
Do you guys have any hobbies outside of being in the band?
Johnny Scars: I like going to tequila bars, wine tasting, recreational drugs, salsa dancing, learning Spanish, transcendental meditation, and making love to my woman. Nik likes tequila bars, wine tasting, recreational drugs, salsa dancing, learning Spanish, transcendental meditation, and making love to my woman. K.D. Wish likes motorcycles.
